About the event

This session is open to staff of University of Wisconsin Veterinary Care.

If you wish to recieve RACE credit, please include your full name, license number, state of license, and profession (Veterinarian or Technician) with your sign up. Your AAVSB profile must also be up to date for credits to be sent. You must attend all three sessions and chat in to record attendance to receive credit. A certificate is available for your records upon request.

Completing this interactive workshop will help you understand how client caregiver burden affects the pet owners you work with and the decisions they make. You will learn all about “Burden Transfer” -- how your clients’ burden can transfer to you and your team.

Session 1 will provide greater understanding of these issues, and allow you to take a look at how burden transfer affects YOU! Session 2 covers strategies for identifying moments of burden transfer, and being mindfully present to allow you to “unhook” and take a bird’s eye view of what makes these moments difficult.

Session 3 will help you understand HOW burden transfer happens, and provides an action plan to reduce its impact!

Unburdened is a 3-part educational program geared toward reducing stress and burnout associated with difficult client interactions in the field of veterinary medicine.

Sessions are February 10th, 17th, and 24th at 1:00PM CST.

Sessions are FREE! RSVP today to make sure your spot is saved!
